Following one of our PPM Seminars or demo's we typically recommend a Technical Discovery or Proof of Concept. This enables you to explore the benefits of Project Server further, without any investment in licensing or hardware.
Both of the options allow you to evaluate how Project Server can resolve your business issues or pain points and enable you to make an informed Go / No Go decision on a pilot or full deployment.
The Proof of Concept (PoC) takes a maximum of 5 days, plus 1 day requirements definition workshop. This time can be split over several weeks to match your timeframes and availability. We can install Project Server locally or supply a complete hosted solution. Either way you will be able to interact with your project data within a "sandpit" Microsoft Project Server environment.
The Technical Discovery is a shorter engagement, tailored to the size of your organisation & project complexity. Again we will create a Project Server environment using your sample project data, configured to your specific needs as far as possible within the time allowed. We recommend the hosted solution for this package.
Our objective is to ensure you are able to make an informed decision about the benefits of Project Server and how they can be realised within your organisation. We provide a fully costed deployment proposal following the Technical Discovery or PoC.

A proof of concept is often used within larger organisations with 40+ users to to demonstrate Project Server capability. What you get:
1. 1 day requirements workshop with both Senior Technical Consultant and PM Consultant
2. A Senior Technical Consultant for 5 days running the PoC at your site
3. Iterative PoC to capture your customised configuration & project dat
4. Build & review Server configuaration based on your requirements
